The DEC released some really great news for boaters who enjoy stopping at the islands for a picnic or swim. What used to be a very labor intensive process - get up early, head to ranger station to get pass, go back and pick up your friends who slept in and didn't get to the dock on time :) - is now going to be done online! You can reserve a Lake George day use pass up to 7 days in advance, can see real time availability on the water, and can reserve right from the app while on your boat! This is going to really improve the boating experience on Lake George, thank you DEC!
